Resources for Break

As you head into break, remember there are resources available to support the diverse needs of all students. These include wellness supplies, mental health services, food assistance, and domestic violence support. Reach out and take care of yourself over the holiday season!

Place orders using the link above, and stock up to have supplies you need over break. Students can place orders for different wellness tools and have the option to either pick up their orders at the Center for Health Promotion (outside of the Wellness Resource Room ) or on-campus students can have them delivered to their smart parcel lockers.

CAPS After-Hours On-Call Service (available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year)

To reach this service, please dial (607) 274-3136 and dial option 5. 

After-hours On-Call daily from 5 PM to 8:30 AM | Weekends (after 5 PM on Fridays) & Closures

Thanksgiving Break: CAPS will be closed on Wednesday, November 27, through Sunday, December 1, in conjunction with the college-wide closure for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Winter Break: CAPS will be closed Monday, December 23, 2024-Friday, January 3, 2025.

Use the IC QR code or referral code (available here) to download free premium Wysa. Wysa is a self-care phone app that is customized to the user to help navigate stress, anxiety, sleep, negative thoughts, relationships, grief, and confidence-building with clinically proven self-help tools.

  • Open Monday 11/25 from 3-5pm & Tuesday 11/26 from 12:15 to 2pm
  • The normal "1 reusable bag of food" expectation is waived the week before breaks and during breaks. Students, faculty and staff can take what they need at this time.

Staying Warm

  • Coats for Kids is a national organization that works with local organizations, mainly the Salvation Army salvationarmyusa.org/usn/
  • One Warm Coat (phone 877-663-9276), and they too are a national charity that works with local groups, including giving free coats to students of all grades. onewarmcoat.org/individual-coat-requests/
