I retired from Ithaca College effective July 1, 2021. Access to the College Archives and the Rod Serling Archives will be limited.
As College Archivist, I was responsible for managing the permanent records of the College.
I started working as College Archivist at Ithaca College in 1988. Prior to that I had been College Archivist for Earlham College in Indiana for three years. When I arrived at IC, the "archives" was in a cage on the 3rd floor of the library with 3 aisles of shelving that were 7 sections long. In 2020, the archives are contained in around 2,500 boxes and many linear feet of unboxed items (including books, film, and framed photos). In addition to the College Archives, I also managed the Rod Serling Archive, a collection of scripts, films, and other items donated by Carol Serling. I also co-managed the College's institutional repository, Digital Commons IC. Many of the high use items from the Archives have been digitized and are available under the IC History link.
For many years (1994-2020), I served as a reference librarian and as a subject liaison to academic departments.
