Katelynn has almost 10 years of experience working in Residential Life between her time as a Resident Assistant during her undergraduate career and as a Residence Director. She was interested in being a Resident Assistant because she loved her experience as a first-year student and wanted to create that experience for her residents. When thinking about a career after college, Katelynn had realized she wanted to continue her journey in Residential Life to continue supporting student growth and creating a welcoming environment for them while they are on-campus.
Katelynn earned her B.S. in Earth Science at SUNY Brockport, where she was also a Resident Assistant for 3 years, and then headed to Millersville University to receive her M.S. in Emergency Management. After completing her M.S., she started working at St. John Fisher University as a Residence Director for 3 years before coming to Ithaca College. Before she was the Circles Community Director, she was the Residence Director for Upper Terraces for 2 years. In 2023, Katelynn completed an advanced graduate certificate in Higher Education Administration from SUNY Stonybrook.
Outside of the office, Katelynn enjoys reading and spending time with her family in Buffalo (GO BILLS!). She lives with her husband, their two cats, and they will be welcoming their first baby in the fall of 2024.
