Tal Schifter directs the Suzuki Strings of Long Island. Mr. Schifter has taught at Sound Encounters and the Ottawa Suzuki Institute in Kansas. He has been on faculty as well at the Ithaca Suzuki Institute Advanced Program, the Texas State University Suzuki Institute, The Hartt Suzuki Institute, the Advanced Suzuki Institute at Stanford, and the Intermountain Suzuki Strings Institute in Salt lake City. He has been a featured clinician at several workshops in the United States. He holds a B.M. in violin performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music as well as a Masters in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Mr. Schifter is also a graduate of the Juilliard Pre-College Division and several of his students are graduates of Juilliard's Pre-College and College Division. His program joined with Hartt Suzuki Strings and the Fairbanks Suzuki School on an Alaskan concert tour in 2017 and they performed at the 2018 Suzuki Conference.
