ICLC 36300: Irish Culture & Literature

This course offers students the opportunity to engage with the depth and breadth of Irish culture through its rich and vibrant literary tradition. Includes work of James Joyce, Edna O’Brien, John McGahern, Anne Enright, and Sally Rooney and the increasingly diverse voices that are writing and redefining contemporary Ireland and Irishness. Perspectives such as ecocriticism and post-colonial theory inform the reading of texts.
