Our first Emerging Media class only graduated a few years ago, but the Park School has a long history of media innovation and many of our alumni found their own ways to combine media and technology long before we created this degree.
We were the first college to offer a public workshop on interactive media and to offer a college class producing early interactive media (with an Apple II computer and VCR!) in 1980. We mounted the first contest for films shot entirely on cell phones, and we continue to foster innovation through coursework, opportunities with our co-curricular media, and contests such as Park Tank.
