Josh writes about his experiences at Ithaca College:
Choosing Ithaca College and deciding where to spend my undergraduate years was an easy decision when I accounted for all Ithaca College had to offer. With so many different curriculums for students to study health sciences and human performance I knew it was the right choice for me. I was unsure that path I wanted to follow in the professional world, but with the guidance of my mentors and advisors I decided to pursue a clinical role as a physician assistant after graduation. Growing up in Boyertown, PA, I knew that Ithaca College’s balance of outstanding academic programs and NCAA Division III athletics would create a great environment for me to grow.
When I reflect on my experiences at Ithaca College, I value the interprofessional work I was able to do with students from across campus. During my first and second year at Ithaca College, I worked with students from the physical therapy department to form a mental health taskforce. The taskforce utilized resources and built relationships between faculty and students to improve mental health outcomes across campus. Being able to collaborate with students and faculty who are invested in creating the best learning environments for students was an experience I will cherish. Currently Joshua is a student in the Ithaca College Physician Assistant Program.
