Cassidy reflects on her experience at IC.

"I grew up in West Dover, VT, where I spent lots of time working with children of all ages as a babysitter, dance teacher, and gymnastics instructor. I learned that I greatly enjoy working with children because of the constant energy, fascination, and creativity they express in all stages of development. My passion for working with children led me to take a child development class in high school where I discovered my interest in human health which inspired me to major in health sciences at Ithaca College. Throughout my time at Ithaca College, I have worked as a volunteer at Cayuga Medical Center and the Cancer Resource Center as well as an intern at the Cayuga Medical Center Physician and Provider Recruitment office. These experiences have enabled me to interact with hospital patients, support cancer survivors, and assist in the recruitment processes of healthcare professionals. Additionally, I have obtained my certification as a trained facilitator for the American Lung Association Asthma Management in Schools program, to raise asthma education and awareness to elementary school-aged children. All of these experiences have allowed me to obtain a strong background in the field of healthcare and identify my passion for a future career in pediatric nursing".
