Rishabh Sen '26 is the recipient of the Bill and Donna Bergmark Scholarship Award.

Awarded to students with a record of academic excellence who are majoring in chemistry or biochemistry.

About Rishabh:

Rishabh Sen is a junior Chemistry and Computer Science double-major, with a minor in Mathematics, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a teaching assistant for various Chemistry courses, as well as a lab technician for the teaching labs/stock room. Outside the Chemistry department, he serves as the President for the Student Body, through which he advocates for student needs and facilitates student engagement & connectedness. His research in the field of medicinal chemistry with Dr. Scott Ulrich (studying autoinducer synthase inhibition and characterization) and synthetic organic chemistry with Dr. Mike Haaf (using chiral initiators to synthesize isotactic PLA) led to an interest in chemical biology. This passion was cemented during a Research Fellowship in the Pomerantz Lab at the University of Minnesota where he had the chance to synthesize and test novel BPTF ProTaCs. Rishabh is keen to continue research in this field and aims to attend graduate school for a PhD in chemistry or chemical biology after graduation.
