Lilly Johnson '25 is the recipient of the Roger Harris´80 Scholarship
Awarded to academically promising student majoring in chemistry or biochemistry.
The Russell Drago Chemistry Award is awarded to rising seniors based on academic achievement, laboratory skills, and greatest promise in the field of chemistry.
About Lilly: Lillian Johnson is a senior chemistry major with minors in mathematics and deaf studies. She is a teaching assistant for the chemistry department, part of the department prelab team and has been a part of the Haaf Lab group for three years. Her previous research here at Ithaca College was attempting to streamline the enantioselective synthesis of stegobinone, a sex pheromone of the furniture beetle, which is a part of a collaboration with scientists at the Metropolitan Museum of Art that aims to develop traps to prevent damage to their cultural heritage objects. After completing her studies at Ithaca College, Lilly plans to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in Chemistry.
