My research and teaching interests span the fields of labor economics, public policy, and feminist economics. My current research focuses on childcare markets in the U.S., specifically race, class, and gender analysis of childcare policies.
Prior to joining the faculty at Ithaca College, I graduated from the University of Utah in 2024 with a PhD in Economics. I also hold an MA degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. I grew up in Southern Turkey. Before moving to the U.S. for my PhD, I lived, studied, and worked in Istanbul, which I hold very dear to my heart.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring local hiking trails, spending time in the kitchen, and trying to be consistent with my strength training!
