Graduate Assistantships in Education are available on a limited and competitive basis. Applications for Graduate Assistantships are an optional component of the regular application process for admission; one additional letter of recommendation is required. There are two types of Graduate Assistantships in the Adolescence Education and Childhood Education programs, one consisting of a partial tuition scholarship and one consisting of a stipend in exchange for a set number of hours of collaborative project work with faculty members and/or staff.

New York State Math and Science Teaching Initiatives
The NYS Math and Science Teaching Incentive Scholarships provides grants to help eligible students pay for tuition costs. Full-time students matriculating in an approved undergraduate or graduate program that leads to a math or science teaching career in secondary education are eligible to apply. Recipients must agree to work for five years as a secondary math or science teacher.
Robert Noyce Scholarship Teaching Scholarship Program
The Ithaca College Robert Noyce Teaching Scholarship program encourages talented graduates with STEM majors to pursue teaching careers in high-need schools in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, STEM-focused Childhood Education, Earth Science, Mathematics, and Physics. The program provides $15,000 scholarships toward the cost of attendance at Ithaca College. After you graduate, we continue to mentor and support you as you begin teaching.
