Additional Application Requirements:

1. Two (2) scores of original works (with sound files, if possible). 
    

Audition Requirements:

1. Play a three-octave scale of your choice - major, minor, whole tone, pentatonic, modal, or other.
2. Perform two (2) - three (3) works of contrasting style demonstrating technical and expressive skills. 
   • The first movement of a concerto, with cadenza if applicable.
   • One (1) movement of Bach.
   • Optional: one (1) piece of your own choosing. We encourage selections of works by underrepresented and living composers.

NOTE: All those auditioning are expected to perform without accompaniment.
 

Interview Requirements:

1. Speak with a member of our Composition faculty and ask any specific questions you may have about the Composition degree program.

2. Three (3) scales and arpeggios of your choosing.

1. Meet with members of the SRT faculty, practice critical listening skills, and discuss your background in audio engineering thus far. Approximately 20 minutes.
