Task Groups
The LMS Implementation Team includes faculty members from all five academic schools, as well as staff and students. Members are participating in various Task Groups in order to provide a smooth transition from Sakai to Canvas.

Objectives:
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendor (K16) to go through iterations of the migration before full migration set to begin
- Provide a document with recommendations / next steps for faculty on what to do once their course is in Canvas – to be shared out as part of the change management process
- Collect & apply feedback from pilot users with courses that were migrated as part of K16 iterations
- Provide recommendation for determining the selection of up to 4000 courses to be migrated
- Provide recommendation for moving content from courses not included in the 4000

Objectives:
- Partner with Instructure to prepare Change Management resources
- Use the Change Management resources and tool kit to help campus partners facilitate communications, change decisions, and resources needed to support the implementation and adoption of Canvas

Objectives:
- Review Canvas Template catalog and select two options for the Canvas Template
- Engage IC community in the selection of a Canvas Template to be applied to IC Canvas instance
- Review & curate Canvas Community Blueprint designs to be made available to IC faculty & academic support staff
- Create a basic Blueprint design to be made available to IC faculty & academic support staff
- Recommend standards for consistency across IC courses (ie. accessibility, design, UX, etc)

Objectives:
- Review use cases of project sites in Sakai and recommend how other IC supported tools can be used for non-academic purposes
- Develop documentation and resources to guide users through moving content out of Sakai and into an alternate platform
- Communicate changes to Project Site creator/maintainers and provide follow-up support

Objectives:
- Review & curate training materials provided by Canvas / Canvas Community
- Recommend up to 20 names for participation/access for 1-year in the live Canvas webinars
- Provide a recommended plan for training opportunities for faculty, academic support staff & students
- Determine the best use of and schedule up to 12 hours of customized training from Canvas
- Develop and deliver IC-specific training (ongoing for some members)
- Establish a Professional Learning Community (PLC) for ongoing training/learning/support of the Canvas system
