Orientation Schedule
Students will be required to swipe their ID at each event to receive credit for attending the session. Required events are marked with an asterisk (*).

- 12–5 p.m. Housing & Orientation Check-in and New Student Move In*, Towers Marketplace
- All new students need to check in during this period at Towers Marketplace to pick up their ID card* and Orientation materials, and get their small group number. Those living on campus will move in during this time as well. (*Please keep your ID with you, as it is required for swiping in at all orientation sessions.)
- 5:30–6:30 p.m. New Student and Family/Supporter Welcome Dinner, Campus Center - Emerson Suite A
- Students and their supporters will have the opportunity to enjoy a meal with other new folks, meet IC staff, and win some prizes! We will conclude this event with a farewell to family members, then students will head to orientation sessions.
- 6:30–7:15 p.m. Meet Your Orientation Leader, Small Group Meeting #1*
- Meet your Orientation Leader, connect with fellow new students, learn the "inside scoop" about being an IC student, and start building a supportive network within the campus community!
- 7:15–8:15 p.m. Residential Life Cluster Meeting**
- **Required event for students living on campus: Learn from your Residence Life and Housing staff about exciting events happening in your housing community, get information you will need to complete your first semester, and learn who your RA and RD is.

- 7-9 a.m. Breakfast, On Your Own (CC Dining Hall or Terraces Dining Hall)
- 10–10:45 a.m. New Student Welcome*, Campus Center - Klingenstein Lounge
- Kick off the day with the New Student Welcome. Receive a brief introduction to the day's events, meet some of your peers, and get energized for an exciting day ahead.
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m. Academic Sessions*, Multiple Locations (see printed schedule)
- Each school will be hosting different activities to help you learn more about and get connected with your academic programs.
- 12–1 p.m. Lunch with Small Groups*, Campus Center Dining Hall
- Enjoy a casual lunch with your OL and small group where you can make friends, ask questions, receive personalized advice, and learn about being an IC student.
- 1–2 p.m. Navigating Academic Technology*, Campus Center - Klingenstein Lounge
- Learn how to navigate IC systems you will use throughout your experience on campus to monitor your degree progress and register for courses.
- 2:15–3:15 p.m. Safety on Campus*, Campus Center - Klingenstein Lounge
- Your Title IX and Public Safety teams are here to help you understand your rights, resources, and how to support one another by contributing to a campus community that promotes safety and respect.
- 3:15–5 p.m. Small Group Meeting #2 with Your Orientation Leader*
- Learn more about campus resources, explore campus, and continue to make connections with your peers.
- 3–7 p.m. Open Computer Lab for Community Education Modules , Friends Hall 103
- 5–7 p.m. Dinner & Break, On Your Own (CC Dining Hall or Terraces Dining Hall)
- 7–9 p.m. Trivia Night - Win Dorm Prizes!, Campus Center - Clark Lounge
- Join us for a fun-filled night of trivia with exciting prizes, hot cocoa, and desserts. Test your knowledge and enjoy a cozy evening with new friends!

- Gain firsthand perspectives on student life at IC and the college journey from current students.
- 12–1 p.m. Lunch, On Your Own (CC Dining Hall or Terraces Dining Hall)
- 1–2:30 p.m. Small Group Meeting #3 with Your Orientation Leader*
- Put what you've learned at Orientation to the test for a chance to win a cool prize!
- 1–7 p.m. Open Computer Lab for Community Education Modules, Friends Hall 103
- 2:30–3:30 p.m. Creative Connections for Transfer Students, Campus Center - Klingenstein Lounge
- Join us for snacks, watercolor painting, and socializing with Tau Sigma National Transfer Student Honor Society, Ithaca College Transfer Connections (ICTC), and the Student Governance Council (SGC) Transfer Senator.
- 2:30–3:30 p.m. Game On, Campus Center - Clark Lounge
- Unwind with a fun-filled session of board games and Jackbox. It's the perfect way to make new friends and kick off your college journey!
- 3:30-4:30 p.m. Guided Tours by School
- Find your classrooms, explore common campus spaces, and talk with the Orientation Leaders to gather insights into navigating physical spaces at IC.
- 8–10 p.m. Res Life Lounge Events
- Explore the Residential Life lounges for an exciting evening of cookie decorating, board games and coloring, sand art, and pottery painting (each lounge will have a different activity).
