A Sports Media panel composed of four Ithaca College alumni is planned for Thursday, October 8, 2020,12:00 - 1:00 p.m. as part of the Roy H Park School of Communications "Roundtable" series.
The Park Roundtable series convenes leading experts, practitioners, and Park faculty in a formal panel presentation to explore key issues in the industries and professions. This program is delivered in partnership with Ithaca College's Philanthropy & Engagement Division and is open to Ithaca College's current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The fourth program will be held by the PACE Vice President of Finance, Mark Melchionna, who will discuss the background of competitive culture in the workplace. Competitive culture is a very broad term, and it can refer to internal and external situations. Oftentimes, competition can be viewed as a positive thing because in order to achieve greatness we need some form of it in order to stay motivated. However, there are also certain forms of competition that can be detrimental, and it is important to know that these can be avoided using simple tactics.
