Our mission is to provide top IC students (“Ithaca Investment Scholars”) an opportunity to compete for and succeed in some of the most coveted finance careers. This includes expanding their network as well as preparing them to be “Day One Ready”.
Ithaca Investment Scholars
What We Do
- Prepare our graduates for positions within Investment Banking, Equity Research, Sales & Trading, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Corporate Development/Finance, and Asset Management
- Develop advanced business, finance, and investment knowledge and skill set
- Build soft skills (resume, networking, and preparation) for initial development
- Cultivate an understanding of investment banking, private equity, etc. (“Target Roles”)
- Expect 100% steady-state placement rate for internships and full-time employment
- Utilize mentorship of Alumni Board and Scholars Network
- Promote life-long learning through relevant readings, career education, etc.
- Assist in internship and job opportunities including final preparations
- Compliment learning environment with School of Business finance curriculum
- Continue excellence and innovation of student learning
- Provide differentiated and valuable experiential learning opportunities
Scholar Expectations/Requirements
- Maintain overall GPA of 3.5
- Attend all Meetings
- Keep up on assigned material and self studies
- Represent IIS to the highest degree
- Maintain culture alignment with IIS principles
- Have at least sophomore standing
Curriculum
IIS will consist of an integrated curriculum building high technical aptitude and polished interpersonal skills including but not limited to: Advanced Accounting, Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance, Bonds & Debt, Excel & Powerpoint, Financial Modeling, DCF, and LBO
