The Ithaca Real Estate Club (IREC) is a student run organizations dedicated to enhancing members' professional skills, along with providing them with the highest quality real estate education Ithaca College has to offer.
Members learn how to produce complex valuations of commercial and large multifamily properties, how to invest in single and small multifamily properties, and how to value these properties. Members also learn networking advice, receive resume help, and are assisted in the internship/job search inside of real estate.
The club hosts industry professionals for networking and enhanced educational opportunities for members seeking a career in real estate, and we maintain an alumni network of 400+ Ithaca College Alumni that work in real estate.
The club hosts an end-of-semester investment pitch, where club members pitch a commercial investment to a board of alumni complete with property overviews, market overviews, catalysts, risks, exit strategies, pro formas, rent rolls, and more. This presentation replicates an investment pitch in the corporate world and prepares our members for a career in Commercial Real Estate.
Various alumni working at top-tier firms and brokerages continue to advise the IREC board on properly fostering a club environment that emulates real-world occurrences within the real estate industry.
