The BIPOC Unity Center empowers all students through events, education, and support for the Ithaca Achievement Program (IAP), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Scholarship recipients, and First-Generation students. We foster an inclusive, supportive environment, promoting ethical development, social justice, and academic excellence. Our Center advocates for equity, offers vital resources, and encourages community engagement to ensure students thrive at Ithaca College and beyond.

Our Mission
Our Vision
The BIPOC Unity Center at Ithaca College envisions a campus community (faculty, staff, students, alumni, families and supporters) where every individual celebrates their unique identities and uses empowered voices for solidarity and advocacy to resist and interrupt systems of oppression. We cultivate affirming experiences and brave spaces to prepare change agents who lead, innovate, and shape a world embracing social change.
Our Values & Pillars
The BIPOC Unity Center champions the three core values of support, perseverance, and holistic care. These core values are our “why,” which are grounded by six pillars that dictate “how” we approach the work. Those pillars are:
- Advocacy
- Community
- Education
- Empowerment
- Excellence
- Solidarity
