Standing Committees
THIS SECTION CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT STANDING ACADEMIC COMMITTEES WHO REPORT TO THE PROVOST AND VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS.
Honorary Degrees Advisory Committee
The committee shall elect nominees who fulfill the established criteria and mirror the values of IC for an honorary degree.
Academic Calendar Committee
The committee shall evaluate and propose a calendar each year and assess other university and college calendars.
Academic Policies Committee
APC reviews, maintains and improves policies and procedures affecting academic policy, curriculum, and program assessment (including periodic program review) at Ithaca College.
Graduate Council
The council reviews & recommends curricula, determines eligibility of candidates & prescribes the conditions for awarding degrees.
Faculty Council
Faculty Council consists of an elected body of members responsible for exercising faculty authority for Ithaca College.
Faculty Grievance Committee
The committee establishes a regular procedure for the faculty of Ithaca College to resolve problems and disputes.
Faculty Personnel Appeals Committee
The committee hears faculty appeals regarding reappointment, promotion, and tenure.
Faculty Handbook Amendment Committee
The Faculty Handbook Amendment Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Council.
All College Teacher Education Committee
ACTEC sets policy & procedures to ensure that Ithaca College teacher education programs meet NYSED's professional standards.
Teaching Resource Allocation Committee
Teaching Resource Allocation Committee (TRAC) will advise the provost on faculty position allocations.
Tenure and Promotion Committee
The committee reviews the file of each candidate for tenure and/or promotion and makes recommendations to the Provost.
