Mandatory Training

Authorized Adults (program personnel over the age of 18 years) are required to complete training that covers identifying and responding to inappropriate interactions involving Minors (participants under 18 years old who participate in a program or activity).  The training needs to occur prior to the first day of the College-Sponsored Program (training is valid for one year). 

All Program Personnel including the Program Director and Co-Director MUST Complete:

The UE Minors Learning Platform contains several courses, the ONLY mandatory course is "Protecting Children: Identifying and Reporting Sexual Misconduct" the other courses are simply for additional learning opportunities and are not mandatory.

The training expires 1 year from the date of completion.  Completion status will be updated in the minors compliance system.  Please note: it can take up to 3 days to populate a completion date.  You are able to print/save a copy of your completion certificate if you wish to do so.

IMPORTANT: YOU WILL NEED A BRANCH CODE TO ACCESS THE UE TRAINING THE CODE IS FOUND IN THE INSTRUCTION DOCUMENT, LINKED BELOW.

Mandatory Clery Training

You must complete the “Overview of the Jeanne Clery Act.” Please log into the Ithaca College Protection of Minors Registration System to access this training. You will see a red Action Required box at the top of the Home menu, click the Begin Training button. This training is good for 12 months from the date of completion.  You will receive an email confirming completion of the training.

Review the content of the Protection of Minors Policy, which includes:
a) Emergency Readiness and Response Planning and Emergency Response Guide
b) "Code of Conduct Working with Minors"

Review the "Roles and Responsibilities Information for Programs Involving Minors" document provided by the Program Director.
